Great Re-Newed Manufactured Housing Community in Dallas
We love days like today. Thanks to one of our favorite mentors on our manufactured housing journey - George Allen - introduced me to Kim Shultz-Rainford, a woman who was renovating a manufactured housing community in Grand Prairie Texas. This is a great area with easy access to the DFW Airport, Dallas, Fort Worth, and all of the cultural and employment opportunities both of these areas offer. She and her husband are working very hard to create a safe, affordable place for people to purchase and live in their own homes, and what a great job they are doing! She is merchandising the model home herself and did a wonderful job - I told her that her home looked better than the one the professional designer for the manufacturer did. So many thoughtful touches, I know they are going to do really well.
I felt like I was looking at the future of our industry, and I liked what I saw. They had compassion for their current residents and were helping them enhance their homes. They were long-term thinkers who have taken advantage of the wisdom that George Allen and others are so generous to share and it's working! Mr Allen and his COBA7 (Community Owners Business Alliance) are one of the wonderful organizations that truly are helping move our industry forward. On days like today, I'm so grateful to him for his dedication to helping all of us move forward.
If you would like to tour Hardrock Park, they are having a Sneak Peek Open House on Saturday from 11-4. Visit their website for more information.
